Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates PulteGroup for winning a Gold OBIE in the Community Service Special Category for the Pulte Store. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

PulteGroup has committed to a 3-year project, contributing more than $50,000 and hundreds of hours of employees’ time to design and merchandise a store for middle school students to learn about their housing options. The Pulte Store is a part of Junior Achievements Finance Park, which is the most innovative and far-reaching program for youth financial education and career development in metro Atlanta.

The store educates students about their housing options and illustrates the effect that income has on their choices. In addition to creating and merchandising the store, more than 80 Pulte employees have participated to-date at four volunteer days at Finance Park, where they have assisted middle school students experience a full day at Finance Park.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 36th anniversary in 2016. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The OBIE Awards are named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given.
