Pulte Homes, national homebuilder, is proud to announce that they have signed on as the builder of a new 1,956 square foot addition to the home of Aimee Copeland. The new addition, which is already being framed, is scheduled to be completed when Aimee returns home from rehabilitation in 40 days.

For those who don’t know, Aimee is a young woman who developed a rare bacterial infection called necrotizing fasciitis that resulted in significant health issues, including multiple amputations.

The two-story addition will feature a new bedroom, fitness room for rehabilitation, a Pulte Planning Center-an open room with views and accessibility to Aimee’s main space and her study area for her continuing education in psychology-and elevator access to other rooms in the home.

Pulte Homes is working side by side with 30 trade partners to complete this project. They are all donating their expertise, time and materials to ensure the renovation is completed before Aimee’s return from rehabilitation and at no cost to the family.

The trade companies who will help to complete the renovations include: 84 Lumber Company, Argos Concrete, Atlanta Glass and Mirror, Atlanta West Carpets, Blackstone Construction Group, Boise Cascade, Builder Specialties, Builders First Source, Cofer Brothers, Eric’s Locks, Firm Foundations, Great Southern Wood Preserving, Greg Puga, Higginbotham Engineering and Design, Intown Design, James Hardie, K and C Services, LP Building Products, MasterBrand Cabinets, Murrells Waterproofing, Northwest Exterminating, Pace Geotechnical, Phoenix Landscape Group, Plainview Grading, Ponder and Ponder, Architects, ProBuild, Randall Lowe Plumbing, Reliance Heating and Air, Residential Elevators, Rite-Way Foundations, Sherwin Williams, Silent P Construction, Southeastern Millworks, Structured Drywall, The Roof Depot, Tucker Door, Vulcan Concrete, Wilkins Electric and Woodman Insulation.

“Aimee’s story and recovery has inspired many of us here at Pulte, and we were compelled to find a way to help,” said Stephen Haines, vice president of sales for Pulte Homes in Georgia.  “It is our honor to be a part of this generous community that has rallied together to help improve Aimee’s quality of life, and build Aimee’s Wing.
