The Providence Group Releases Second Vlog Installment

The Providence Group of Georgia, LLC, a Green Brick Partner, is excited to announce the second installment of its new video blog (vlog) series is live! VP of Sales and Marketing Kelly Fink is joined by Lesley McCarthy with Builders Design Group to discuss design trends present in the Manning decorated model home at Traditions in Cumming.

The new vlog series highlights local restaurants, parks and events near The Providence Group communities throughout Atlanta, as well as spotlights popular trends and topics as it pertains to interior design and energy efficiency. In this newest installment, McCarthy explains how Builders Design Group considers the intended buyer’s lifestyle before decorating a model home including the home’s surrounding area, much like The Providence Group’s approach to construction.

“Design trends are very simple when it comes to lighting,” McCarthy said. “It’s all about scale.”

In the Manning model, for example, the lighting fixtures tend to stay in the same color family but vary in style to add a unique touch to the space. Ample lighting is critical to designing a space, so much so that the number of lights in a room is considered in the process and balanced between decorative fixtures and LEF canned lighting.

Another popular trend in new homes is outdoor living spaces. The Manning model is the perfect place for entertaining family and friends with multiple zones for ongoing conversations. Additionally, the connectivity to the rest of the house is what truly makes the expansive outdoor living area special with access from either the family room or through the owner’s suite with its beautifully-appointed, spa-like bath.

“With owner’s suites on the main, sometimes the bedroom and bathroom get sacrificed,” McCarthy said. “But in this floor plan, they don’t at all.”

An additional feature of true, open-concept design is the elimination of a separate formal dining room. The Manning features a dining area that is open to the kitchen and living areas, furthering the entertaining space. The designers at Builders Design Group incorporated a full wine bar into the dining area with two wine coolers, a trendy wine rack lining the wall and built-in cabinets for additional décor and storage.

Perfectly situated in South Forsyth County, Traditions features luxury single-family homes from the $500,000s. Home design options include ranch, two- and three-story plans with everything from first-floor owner’s suites to third-floor retreats and basement homesites. Additionally, homebuyers have the opportunity to customize each home at the Design Studio with the help of a design expert.
