Hollywood and Burbank in California are most well known for their multiple TV and film studios and as hubs for the entertainment industry, and Pinewood Forest is providing a similar vision on the East Coast! Pinewood Forest President Rob Parker joins this week’s All About Real Estate edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio to discuss the live-work-play community taking shape in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Directly adjacent to Pinewood Atlanta Studios, the second largest movie studio in North America, Pinewood Forest is a mixed-use development serving about 5,000 people. According to Parker, the idea started as a company town for the film industry, which has never been done before.
“Hollywood didn’t develop that way; Burbank didn’t develop that way, they just kind of happened and it really was the Wild West,” Parker said. “We are actually intentionally building a town for creatives [not just the film industry].”
Pinewood Forest will feature 700 single-family and 600 multi-family homes including apartments, condominiums and townhomes. Homes range from the low $300,000s to nearly $2 million and all are within a block of the community park.
Manicured walkways connect residents to their favorite shopping and dining destinations. Community amenities include 51 percent green space, 15 miles of trails, a forest preserve, a performing arts center, pools, sports courts, a fishing pond, frog pond, gardens, an amphitheater, a spa and Piedmont Wellness Center with fitness space.
