Broker and Owner of Peggy Slappey Properties, Peggy Slappey, and Marketing Director, Julie Slappey, are in studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses several new home communities in the growing Barrow County area. The group also dives into several current and upcoming new home community projects on this week’s All About Real Estate segment of Radio.
Peggy Slappey prides herself in not only being a wife, mother and grandmother, but also in her efforts to give back to the community whenever she can. As a third-generation real estate professional, Peggy grew up in the industry and is no stranger to the type of work she handles on a daily basis.
Peggy Slappey Properties originally began as a new home community. Today, the business is committed to all real estate needs at every stage of a client’s life. With approximately 40 agents equipped and cross-trained in both new home sales and general brokerage, they are some of the best and most knowledgeable in the business.
“I think it’s definitely something to boast about,” said Julie. “We’ve been in business for 38 years. To have that legacy, and to be third-generation, is a big testament to who we are and what we mean to the community.”
Northside Commons, built by Brightview Homes and Vision Home Crafters, is a beautiful new home community in Barrow County. Located just outside of downtown Winder, Northside Commons is a gated swim, clubhouse and maintenance-free community. The neighborhood is composed of two-story single-family homes and ranch-style condos. Homes here range in price from $179,000 to $220,000. Attracting a wide range of buyers, Northside Commons hosts first-time home buyers and experienced homeowners.
St. Ives, another Barrow County Community is built by Ashlyn Homes. Focused on Millennial buyers, this community boasts creative and unique homes throughout. All the homes in St. Ives are nestled on beautiful wooded homesites with three sides brick exteriors.
Another community currently being sold by Peggy Slappey Properties is Lake Rockwell. This community near Chateau Elon is built by RHG Homes and Lab Homes. Lake Rockwell is a quaint community with a throw-back hometown feel. Homes are equipped with the popular three-car garages and oversized homesites. The two builders at Lake Rockwell have been with Peggy Slappey Properties for over 25 years, and have proven their reliability, trust and dedication. There are only about eight homes left at Lake Rockwell, most of which are basement homesites.
Mini Farms at Rockwell Farms is in the development stage. This community of mini-farms is accepting of all families with cows, chickens, horses, goats and all other farm animals. Both master-on-main and two-story plans are available in this community.
