A premier Atlanta-based real estate development and residential homebuilding firm, Parkland Communities seeks a Senior Purchasing/Estimating Manager and a Senior Construction Manager to join its growing team. The ideal candidates are experienced and ready to jump right in!

Senior Purchasing/Estimating Manager

The ideal candidate for the Senior Purchasing/Estimating Manager position has at least four years of purchasing and estimating experience with a large builder and verifiable field experience. This person will also have a college degree, be detail-oriented, be well-versed in Excel, and have substantial experience with homebuilder purchasing software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Produce and maintain accurate material take-offs.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets and cost trackers.
  • Ability to negotiate with manufacturers, vendors and trades.
  • Track VPOs and take corrective action to keep VPOs to a minimum.
  • Maintain solid relationships with current and future trade/vendor base.
  • Keep up with industry movement and product development and be able to track and forecast the commodities markets.

This role is perfect for a candidate ready to move up to a leadership position but unable to grow further in their current company.

Senior Construction Manager

Parkland Communities seeks a Senior Construction Manager with eight to 10 years of solid residential townhome experience. This individual must be willing to train and mentor assistant-level construction managers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing worksites for new residential construction and coordinating activities to ensure they align with project goals and objectives.
  • Directing subcontractors and vendors daily to maintain stringent quality standards.
  • Collaborating with municipalities, engineers, and other professionals on project execution.
  • Identifying and mitigating reoccurring construction issues and effectively communicating the information back to the office so that corrective action can be taken.
  • Being able to practice and use home building software for scheduling, paying trades/vendors, and communicating through software as needed.
  • Adhering to all legal regulations, building and safety codes and other requirements.
