Paul Smith, owner of Park Tavern and his marketing director, Pilar Tyson are in the studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses several fun-filled events happening at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park.
Park Tavern is located in Piedmont Park and has been open since the 1996 Olympics. With an expansive patio, two special event spaces and a full-service restaurant and bar, Park Tavern has something for everyone – even the dogs! The spacious patio area accommodates guests and their furry four-legged friends for entertainment opportunities, while the restaurant bar offers an extensive menu, including burgers, salads, sandwiches and sushi. Park Tavern has also seen many planned events, including birthday parties, weddings, holiday parties and other get-togethers.
In addition to its normal event spaces and opportunities for fun, Park Tavern is also hosting its annual Miracle on 10th Street event. Complete with thousands of lights, lighted igloos and festive décor, Miracle on 10th Street at The Rink offers fun cocktails, all-day ice skating sessions, delicious food, cozy fire pits, themed skate nights and so much more.
The ice skating rink is open seven days a week for guests of all ages to enjoy. Priced at $15 Monday through Thursday and $20 Friday through Sunday, The Rink is open for everyone to test their skills on the ice. During the week, The Rink is open from 4:30 p.m. until midnight. Operating hours are extended on the weekend, opening at 11:30 a.m. and closing at midnight. At 8:00 p.m., The Rink hosts Skate After Eight, allowing only kids and adults older than 16 to skate. Miracle on 10th Street at The Rink is open until February 15.
In addition to free skating, Park Tavern partnered with a skating academy company to provide lessons to anyone seeking to sharpen their skills. With a variety of ice skating lessons from adult individual lessons, parent and tot classes, kids sessions and more, everyone is welcome to an informative and fun skating lesson seven days a week. The lessons are hosted by a program led by Olympic Coach Craig Maurizi!
To help keep everyone safe and healthy, Park Tavern is following all state and local protocols from the CDC. In addition, everyone entering the facilities must wear a mask on and off the ice.
For even more fun, Park Tavern recently started its weekly “Wednesdays are A Drag” event. Spotlighting drag queen Aspen York, this fun-filled event offers half-priced bottles of wine with a show. For this event, spectating is free, but if you want to skate as well, a $15 fee is required.
