Using your cell phone to help find that perfect piece of Atlanta real estate? Well, keep safety in mind. To address the number of accidents caused by distracted drivers, Governor Purdue has passed two new laws that address cell phone use while driving. Text messaging is now banned for all drivers; this includes reading and sending emails and texts. Talking on the phone is banned for all drivers under age 18, even if they are hands free. The two bills are Senate Bill 360 and House Bill 23.  The fine for a violation is $150 and one point on your license. These laws went into effect on July 1.
