On this week’s Around Atlanta edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show, co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick are joined by Jesse Morado, executive director of NARI Atlanta, and Tom Dwyer, the current president of NARI Atlanta, to discuss an upcoming NARI Atlanta event – the annual Tour of Remodeled Homes!

The seventh annual NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 22. The Tour of Remodeled Homes is your opportunity to visit a variety of remodeling projects completed by some of Atlanta’s top remodeling businesses. This year’s Tour will feature five amazing projects that include kitchens, bathrooms and whole house remodeling projects. Those who attend will have a chance to tour the homes at their leisure and ask the contractors who remodeled the homes specific questions about the project, while also seeing their quality craftsmanship in person. If you are thinking about remodeling your home, this is a great place to begin getting ideas for your home!

Homes on the Tour feature projects that have been completed by NARI members. The goals of the tour are to make people aware of the association and to show the public how important it is to hire a professional contractor. Professional contractors that are involved with NARI are some of the best you can find in the area. To become a member of NARI, contractors have to meet high standards and requirements. Contractors must be in business for a year within the industry, they have to be licensed and insured, they go through a background check and they must adhere to all the regulations that each state has. Finally, these contractors have to adhere to a code of ethics and business standards presented by NARI.  If hired, homeowners can know these contractors will get the job done right.

The homes on this year’s Tour of Remodeled Homes are located in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Marietta and Vinings. Come take a self-guided tour and get the chance to meet with the contractors and see the type of work they can do. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. Like every year, a portion of the ticket sales will go to charity. This year, 50 percent of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to CURE Childhood Cancer.
