design conversation

Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) announces a special event, “Design Conversation” with Brett Hagler, Co-Founder and CEO of New Story and David Butler, Chief Growth Officer at Kids II.

The design conversations will cover the innovative, impactful work of Hagler’s California-based New Story, which works to relieve homelessness by building homes for people in developing nations. New Story, in partnership with Icon, an Austin-based robotics construction company, unveiled what is believed the first 3D-printed house that is fully up to code and permitted for people to inhabit at SXSW.

New Story has successfully achieved its mission of creating a world where no human lives in survival mode, having built houses for over 2,500 people globally. Hagler and Butler will dicuss how the strategic use of design has driven the growth and impact of New Story.

The Design Conversation will take place on Thursday, April 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Hill Auditorium in the Woodruff Arts Center, located on 1280 Peachtree Street in Atlanta. The cost to attend the Design Conversation is $15 for non-MODA members, $10 for MODA members and $8 for students. The event is jointly hosted by MODA and the Miami Ad School at Portfolio Center.
