    These days, we are all about our smartphones. From snapping photos of lunch and texting friends to running business, these little gadgets have made themselves indispensable. On today’s mRELEVANCE Marketing Minute segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, Carol Morgan and Mitch Levinson, managing partners at Marketing RELEVANCE, talk with host Todd Schnick about how businesses can reach potential customers with mobile marketing.

    Levinson describes mobile marketing as “what you do to reach buyers when they search on their smartphones.” He says that since 2015, more than half of browser searches are from mobile devices. To put a fine point on it, Levinson says “if your marketing strategy doesn’t include reaching people on their smartphones, you’re missing out.”

    Mobile marketing is much more than being found by search engines. Mobile marketing starts with the physical location of the business, and involves ensuring sites are built to be viewed on small screens. They must load fast, look good and be easy to view and navigate with fingers.

    Morgan goes on to explain that websites are just the tip of the mobile marketing equation. Every business that uses social media platforms also needs to make sure their images, videos and post will render in high quality on mobile versions of applications.

    Morgan and Levinson agree that the internet has leveled the playing field for small businesses to compete with the big guys, especially if their websites and social sites are mobile-optimized. In fact, Levinson says that when mRELEVANCE builds sites, they take a mobile-first approach, because all signs point to this trend continuing.
