Monte Hewett recently completed a $11.5 million acquisition at Wire Park in Watkinsville. Wire Park Builders, a joint venture between Blue Point Construction Southeast and Monte Hewett, announces that construction of the for-sale townhomes at Wire Park is underway, with sales starting in late summer and closings by fall.
The Towns at Wire Park will feature 21 two-story townhomes with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths across 2,170 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space. Home sites for the 47 single-family homes are in development, and floor plans and pricing will be released later this year.
“Gibbs Capital did an exceptional job envisioning and developing Wire Park,” said Monte Hewett, President of Monte Hewett Homes. “Focusing on walkability creates a true neighborhood feel where residents enjoy a slower pace of life afforded by amenities just outside the front door.”
Wire Park is a new mixed-use development that is walkable to downtown Watkinsville. Spreading across 66 acres, the community sits on what was previously the Southwire manufacturing plant, serving as the community’s namesake. Developed by Gibbs Capital, the $80 million project caters to working professionals, young families and recent retirees. It revitalizes the area and transforms it into a vibrant destination that supports the community.
Applauded for its diverse range of experience with mixed-use deals and general contractor projects, Monte Hewett is known for several high-profile Atlanta area communities, including Avalon, St. Andrews, Halcyon and Madison Yards.
Wire Park features expansive greenspace, a public park and event amphitheater and 225,000 square feet of commercial, office and retail space, including the newly relocated Oconee County Public Library. It is also home to the region’s first food hall, The Grid and The Yard at Wire Park, and a nearly 29,000-square-foot indoor baseball training facility. Additionally, the community hosts weekly family-friendly events and activities, including live music, movie nights, food trucks and more.
Wire Park is located at 1725 Electric Avenue in Watkinsville. To learn more about the for-sale townhomes and single-family homes coming soon, visit www.WirePark.net/homes.
