McKinley Homes is proud to announce it won two gold OBIEs at the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s 39th Annual OBIE Awards. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, The OBIE Awards are the premier Atlanta homebuilding awards.

“We are honored to win not only one, but two Gold OBIE Awards for our homes,” McKinley Homes Marketing Manager Kimberly Slaughter said. “These awards confirm what our buyers are already telling us – we build beautiful communities homeowners are proud to call home. This is super exciting for the team at McKinley Homes because it is the first time we have entered this competition!”

Presented for its accomplishments in building, McKinley Homes received the following Gold OBIEs:

  • Mason’s Mill Estates, Best Building Design – Detached Model, $200,000 to $299,999
  • The Gardens at Lovejoy, Single-Family Attached – All Builders, $199,999 and under

The Jasmine home plan at Mason’s Mill Estates won a Gold OBIE for Best Building Design, Detached Model. The Jasmine is an inviting two-story floor plan with a covered front porch. The main level offers a two-story foyer opening into the den or optional secondary bedroom with full bath, allowing flexibility if the home is purchased early enough in the construction process. The oversized kitchen opens into the family room, dining room and breakfast area, as well as the mudroom and laundry room that is accessible from the kitchen or two-car garage. The second floor includes a spacious owner’s suite with spa bath and separate soaking tub and shower, as well as a walk-in closet. Three generous secondary bedrooms and a library or study area complete the upper level.

Mason’s Mill Estates, offers single-family homes with four-to-five bedrooms and two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half baths from the $230,000s. This new community gives a selection of eight open-concept, well-appointed floor plans. Unique, architecturally-designed brick front elevations and views of Stone Mountain create a village atmosphere and theme.

The Bern home plan at The Gardens at Lovejoy won a Gold OBIE for Single-Family Attached Floor Plan under $199,999. Priced from the $140,000s, this two-story townhome is affordable for first-time homebuyers and offers three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Its design means that it can accommodate single buyers as well as buyers with children. The main level features a covered porch, kitchen that opens into the family room and dining area, patio and one-car garage. The second floor has a spacious owner’s suite with a large walk-in closet and bath, as well as two additional bedrooms and an upstairs laundry room. Homebuyers love the modern living rooms, comfortable breakfast areas, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, spacious owner’s suites, one-car garages and the flexibility today’s homebuyers desire, including bonus space!

The Gardens at Lovejoy is ideal for first-time homebuyers wanting to get out of an apartment and enjoy some space of their own as well as growing families. Standard features at The Gardens at Lovejoy include granite countertops and laminate wood-look flooring, both of which are extremely popular with homebuyers and not typically available at this price point.
