Todd Schnick and Bryan Nonni are joined by Verne Packer, owner and producer of the Builder Remodeler Expo, on today’s All About Real Estate edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show.

Verne Packer has been in the trade show business for more than 30 years. As Senior Vice President of Miller Freeman, he ran one of the largest portfolios of trade shows in the United States. Specifically the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show was in his portfolio providing him with the perfect background to begin the Builder/Remodeler Expo.

The Builder/Remodeler Expo was a result of a need in the market. Verne explains, “The last builder show in Atlanta was about 10 years ago or longer, and going into the 2008 recession, if you were a small- to medium-sized builder and you stayed in business, you likely became a remodeler.” Coming out of the recession, remodeling companies are doing quite well, and many builders are going back to new home construction. Because of this, and how closely these two industries are entertwined, the show’s name became the Builder/Remodeler Expo.

Held at the Cobb Galleria Centre, the expo will take place March 7 to 9, 2016, and it is focused on new home construction, remodeling, outdoor living and anything that has to do with residential reconstruction or redevelopment.

Some of the very well known brands that plan to be exhibiting at the expo include Mohawk, Koehler, Electrolux, Lennox, Dodge, Viper by Gerber, BDX, Rubbermaid and many more. “Many of these companies are billion dollar companies, and they want a manufacturing show on the East Coast,” said Verne.

The Builder Remodeler Expo will be highly educational starting off on March 7 with an educational conference. Included in that day will be educational tracks for builders, remodelers, kitchen/bath designers, interior designers, business courses and marketing and sales courses, which runs the whole day.
