Noah’s Park was also home to the famous BLT trio – Bear, Lion and Tiger – who lived together since they were cubs. Unfortunately, Leo the Lion and Shere Khan the Tiger have passed away, but Baloo the Black Bear remains.

Heron Bay Golf Course

Located on the outskirts of Locust Grove, this 18-hole golf course has been serving the community since 2004. Boasting more than 7,000 yards of beautiful fairways, this golf course is perfect for a full day of relaxation. After a day spent on the green, stop in the beautiful clubhouse to enjoy delicious food and drinks. Heron Bay Golf Course also features picturesque views of the Cole Reservoir, a 1,100-acre freshwater lake. Kayaks and non-gasoline, electric motor boating vehicles are permitted to enjoy the lake. Fishing is also permitted in designated areas during certain times of the year.

Panola Mountain State Park

Located in Stockbridge, this 1,000-acre state park is home to the 100-acre granite outcrop. Enjoy the many trails and the 31-mile paved PATH Foundation trail that connects Arabia Mountain, Stonecrest Mall and other stops to Panola Mountain State Park. To access the mountain itself, visitors need to reserve a ranger-led hike. During this hike, you will learn firsthand about the rare plants and animals found in this unique habitat.

Southern Belle Farm

Situated in McDonough, Southern Belle Farm is a 330-acre, family-run agritourism farm. Open seasonally, the farm offers many U-pick options, including strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and peaches. In the autumn, visitors enjoy a four-acre corn maze and two acres of pumpkins.

Atlanta Motor Speedway

The 850-acre, three-lap track is home to the annual Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and holds several special events, including the Atlanta Air Show, Georgia State Fair and various music festivals. The track was the site of Richard Petty’s last race and Jeff Gordon’s first race, both occurring in 1992 at the same event. The venue is open year-round and is available for track tours.
