Join Livable Buckhead on Friday, September 27, for its annual PARK(ing) Day at Lenox Square. Intended to promote the need for urban open spaces, the event will transform parking spaces into mini-parks bustling with fun activities.
Each year, Buckhead’s iconic shopping destination at Lenox Square and Livable Buckhead invite citizens, artists and activists to temporarily transform parking spaces into public places. PARK(ing) Day helps call attention to and celebrate the need for more urban open space, to generate critical discussion around how public space is created and allocated and to provide a fun opportunity for positive community interaction in the most unlikely of spots.
Each of the mini-parks will have interactive elements, and visitors can cast votes for their favorites. A complimentary lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
