Lisa Simmons, Beacon Management Services

Lisa Simmons, President and Co-Founder of Beacon Management Services, is making Atlanta real estate history in property management.

Simmons is a high-performance real estate professional with a record of accomplishments in the commercial and residential sectors, where she worked with two of the country’s largest publicly traded real estate companies. She is the co-founder and President of Beacon Management Services, recognized by The Atlanta Business Chronicle for the 8th straight year as one of Georgia’s Top community association management companies. It currently has $15 billion worth of real estate under management.

Simmons was also the Vice President of First Service Residential, where she helped establish the company’s high-rise condominium division in Georgia.

Earlier in her career, Simmons spent 13 years as the Corporate Marketing Director for renowned developer Cousins Properties Inc. She oversaw the marketing for many of Atlanta’s premier commercial projects, including Bank of America Plaza, Concourse Office Park, Wildwood Office Park, The Pinnacle, Ten Peachtree Place, and The Avenue retail centers.

A strong advocate of giving back, Simmons and Beacon Management Services have actively supported numerous nonprofit organizations. Five years ago, she combined her passion for big hiking adventures with fundraising for an incredible nonprofit called BlazeSports America. Simmons has raised over $135,000 for BlazeSports, the legacy organization of the 1996 Paralympic Games held in Atlanta. For 27 years, they have provided adaptive sports events, such as wheelchair basketball, to Georgia’s youth and veterans with physical disabilities and PTSD.

“I believe that a person’s actions, no matter how small, can have a ripple effect that positively impacts the people and world around them,” said Simmons. “I’m grateful to work with Beacon, which encourages social responsibility, philanthropy, and giving back to the community. I believe that businesses with these foundational principles experience higher levels of employee engagement. Giving back helps Beacon build stronger relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ultimately leading to improved business outcomes,” she said.

In 2018, Simmons began her annual “Moving Mountains” fundraising hike across the Grand Canyon for BlazeSports. In 2019, she summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain at 19,341 feet. The following year, COVID derailed her plans to climb Mt. Elbrus, the tallest mountain in Europe. Still, she bounced back in 2021 with a long trek through the Andes Mountains to Machu Picchu. Last year, she spent two weeks climbing the Swiss and Italian Alps.

She was awarded a Triumph of the Human Spirit Award by former NBA basketball star Dominic Wilkens and TV anchorwoman Karyn Greer at the annual BlazeSports Awards ceremony in 2019. She was also featured on the cover of Northside Woman Magazine, CBS TV, WPBA-Public Broadcasting, Chanel 46 TV, the Marietta Daily Journal, Northside Neighbor newspapers, Appen Media, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Roswell Lifestyle Magazine, Women for One, and other publications.
