Akeasha Branch, general manager and marketing director of Lakewood Amphitheatre for Live Nation, sat down with hosts Todd Schnick and Carol Morgan on this week’s episode of Around Atlanta for the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio Show.

Live Nation has been at the Lakewood Amphitheatre since 1989 and Branch said annually from April to October, they put on about 25 to 30 shows each year. These shows vary in genre from country to rock to hip hop and even Christian artists.

Branch talked about some of the great upcoming shows that will take place at the amphitheatre this fall. There are several country artists scheduled to perform at Lakewood including Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line. Also, the ONE Music Festival, an old school hip hop show, is coming up in September and the Laid Back Festival with headliner Gregg Allman, will wrap up the season.

This year, the amphitheatre has added several new food options to the concession stands in an attempt to offer concert-goers more than the traditional concert-food choices. Some of these new options include salad shakers, chips and hummus, barbecue and flat bread pizza. Another added twist, different Atlanta food trucks are brought in to the events to offer some local Atlanta flavor.

If you are looking for a more comfortable way to enjoy a concert at Lakewood Amphitheatre, check out the new VIP amenities. This year, 36 padded club chairs were brought in to create a more VIP experience. These chairs come with wait staff that reports directly to your box, as well as air conditioning. These chairs are offered on an annual basis, meaning club chair holders will have access to every event for the entire season.
