For many, Labor Day weekend is a time to enjoy an extra day off work while celebrating the unofficial end of summer. Aflac Kickoff Game
Saturday, September 1, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.
It’s time for Atlanta’s annual college football kickoff event featuring Louisville vs. Georgia Tech in game one on September 1 at 7:30 p.m. Held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the matchup annually features two powerhouse teams meeting head-to-head in Atlanta. Before the game, visit Tailgate Town on PNC to experience everything you love about college game day all in one place. Visit International Plaza outside the stadium’s front door for fun activities, contests, giveaways and tailgating essentials, including grills, grub and games. Saturday, August 26, 2022, from 2:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The annual football event kicks off the HBCU football season at Center Parc Stadium. This year’s contest features the South Carolina State Bulldogs and the Jackson State Tigers with tickets starting at just $18 per attendee. The Coca-Cola fan experience begins at 2:30 p.m. in Summerhill Parking Lot A. There will be a Cricket Live Podcast with R. Ali, high school and college band jamboree, sponsor activities and a special appearance by Doug E. Fresh.
Big Peach Sizzler 10K & 5K
Monday, September 4, 2023, at 7 a.m.
Interested in sprinting towards a worthy cause? The Big Peach Sizzler, an event that raises money for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and the Georgia CF community, is hosting a 10K and 5k event. Register today for the 7 a.m. 10k and the 7 a.m. 5k race located at the Apple Vally Rd. immediately adjacent to the MARTA Parking Lot behind the Brookhaven MARTA Station. This race can serve as your official Peachtree Road Race qualifying time! The best part is, of course, the post-race party featuring music, food from Flying Biscuit Café, beer from StillFire Brewing, vendors and race swag!

One of the most unique ways to celebrate Labor Day in Atlanta is by attending Dragon Con! The convention is the largest multi-media, popular culture gathering focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music and film.
