Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Kolter Homes for winning a Gold OBIE in the Best Consumer Direct Mail Program category for Cresswind Peachtree City. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

A Grand Opening invitation printed in full color on an over-sized postcard was sent using Every Door Direct Mail, targeting 55+ active adults and their grown children (aged 30+) in Peachtree City and surrounding areas. The front of the postcard made a bold statement with a travel-stamp circular imprint announcing the grand opening and providing dates and times for the celebration. On the reverse side, in Cresswind blue and white, recipients learned about the only active-adult community in Peachtree City.

The mailer highlighted the golf-cart-friendly community, miles of trails, access to the airport, and photos of active adults. The mailer also gave more details about the grand opening event, which included model homes, food trucks and refreshments. The postcard attracted 250 guests, one contract for a home was signed that day and 16 additional sales immediately followed within a two-and-a-half week period as a result of the event. Since then, the sales continue at a steady clip, with 10 closings a month and 139 homes sold thus far.

The direct mail program effectively and simply targeted active adults in the 55+ age group and their adult children. The mailer was an invitation to a preview for Cresswind Peachtree City, a 55+ active adult community. Over 250 people attended the event, and more were exposed to the lifestyle, amenities and designer homes at Cresswind Peachtree City. Seventeen homes went under contract as a result of this direct mail piece.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 37th anniversary in 2017. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The OBIE Awards are named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given.
