KNOWAtlanta on All About Real Estate segment

Publisher Sherry Gasaway with KNOWAtlanta joins the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to discuss the benefits of sharing vital resources with new metro area residents. Gasaway joins host Carol Morgan on the All About Real Estate segment.

With a true love for Atlanta, Gasaway started with KNOWAtlanta in sales and 15 years later, she is the publisher of the premier relocation magazine. In her position, she hears and develops content, reports and provides valuable information to people seeking new information about our growing city.

A local market staple for 30 years, the primary goal of KNOWAtlanta is to offer easily digestible content that showcases valuable information. Whether it’s turning the lights on in your new home or exploring growing city centers, the magazine also spotlights the market’s top builders by sharing marketing information and upcoming developments.

Published quarterly and available online, the current KNOWAtlanta issue includes a feature about Atlanta’s condo market and shares insight into what it’s like to buy a condo in the metro area.

Gasaway said, “I love what KNOWAtlanta does just because we get to tell the story of Atlanta and what’s happening.”

Showcasing information about the city’s private schools is a growing demand the magazine works tirelessly to meet. The metro Atlanta area boasts over 130 private schools, meeting the needs of students and parents searching for rigorous college prep, special needs education, elite sports and more.

Before the pandemic, relocators from the New England region, Illinois, Texas and California made up many of Atlanta’s new residents. After working remotely for over two years, employees across the country now have the freedom to live anywhere. A large percentage are choosing to make Atlanta their new home, further diversifying the Peach State.

The seventh most popular metro city in the nation for relocation, experts predict that by the year 2050, 8.6 million residents will call Atlanta their new home. Annually, around 80,000 people move to the metro region, which consists of 14 counties.

Gasaway commented, “We are seeing such an influx of people coming here. Georgia is a great place. We’re close to the ocean, we’ve got mountains, we’ve got lots to offer.”

The state’s rapid growth is attributed to the impressive job growth from large companies relocating to the state. While technology is a dominating employment sector, life sciences are quickly catching up, with several major companies looking to Atlanta for a new home base.
