St. Bourke, an Atlanta-based asset management and property development company, announces Jim Sibley as Director – Portfolio Management. Sibley is an experienced property professional with more than two decades of experience across the residential real estate industry.
“Jim utilizes his extensive experience to support all facets of the St. Bourke portfolio management function with an emphasis on identifying and mitigating potential investment risks through creative management and bespoke development strategies,” Ben Simpson, president of St. Bourke, said. “His previous experience working with home builders makes him a huge asset to our team.”
As Director – Portfolio Management at St. Bourke, Sibley works with the Senior Vice President – Portfolio Management to oversee the day-to-day management of properties in St. Bourke’s extensive land portfolio. Assets under his management include large acreages of undeveloped land that he is responsible for developing and executing on a variety of proactive asset management and value-add strategies to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
Additional responsibilities include negotiating contractual agreements with buyers, sellers and vendors, creating and monitoring annual management and value-add budgets, conducting on-site property inspections and managing of a diverse network of asset stakeholders including tenants, community residents, homebuilding partners, government officials and consultants.
Prior to joining St. Bourke, Jim Sibley served in various management roles for a range of home builders and residential development firms in the Southeast including Adams Homes, the JW Collection and Johnson Development Associates. In his most recent role as regional director of development for a regional home builder, he identified, underwrote and closed more than $9.5M in land acquisitions and managed the start-to-finish development operations for multiple residential communities.
Sibley holds a Bachelor of Science – Economics from Davidson College. When not at home in Atlanta with his wife and young son, they can usually be found enjoying themselves in the western North Carolina mountains.
