2022 Chapter President of the Year, James Nash

The 2022 Annual Installation and Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), recently took place at the Omni Hotel at the Battery. At this year’s ceremony, James Nash with Heatherland Homes was named Chapter President of the Year.

A fantastic opportunity, the chapter system allows the considerable membership network to circulate within their business geographical footprint. There are currently seven chapters representing nine counties and the City of Atlanta that provide educational and networking opportunities specific to those nine counties. In recognition of the services courtesy of the Chapters, the Greater Atlanta HBA honors one Chapter President for their outstanding excellence and member service.

Nash was ready to get back on track after 2020 and was determined to provide fun, valuable events for members on the south side of town. As Chapter President, Nash organized and led five successful luncheons in 2021, including a builder bus tour with South Fulton city council members. He was a fantastic resource for the government affairs committee, setting up meetings with elected officials and working through permitting challenges on the south side of Atlanta. In addition to Nash’s role as Chapter President, his company Heatherland Homes is an annual participant in the Atlanta Parade of Homes and has won numerous OBIE Awards, including a Gold Award for Enclave at Wiley Bridge.

It was Nash’s vision and leadership that led to the creation of invaluable programs for association members, especially those in Clayton, Henry and South Fulton Counties.

Congratulations to the 2021 Chapter President of the Year Award, Mr. James Nash of Heatherland Homes.

  1. Home builders cancel buyers’ contracts right before closing — then sell on open market for more.

This is ethically immoral and this news is spreading world wide. I live in California and we’ve heard about it here. Just because there is not a law preventing you from doing something, doesn’t mean it’s O.K. to screw your buyers over.
