Metro Atlanta Regional Account Manager of James Hardie Building Products, Tucker Donnelly, is in the studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses a variety of James Hardie products available, as well as what makes its building products so unique.
Donnelly has been with James Hardie for almost four years. He started off working primarily with custom and semi-custom builders in the metro Atlanta area. Recently, he has transitioned to focus on the production of national builders and the Georgia market as a whole.
James Hardie Building Products is a leader in fiber cement siding. This product is installed in over 8 million homes from coast to coast across the United States. James Hardie Building Products is known for avoiding the “one size fits all” approach, instead, looking at the needs of each individual home in unique climates and locations.
“If you want to install a piece of siding in Denver or if you want to have a piece of siding in Atlanta, Georgia, those two climates and regions are very different,” said Donnelly. “We have products that are specifically designed to standup to Atlanta weather, so hot humid conditions, lots of sun, pests like carpenter bees and woodpeckers. So, it is engineered specifically to perform in our climate here.”
HardiePlank is the bread and butter of the company, but it also offers several other products for homes, including HardiePanel, HardieTrim, HardieShingle, HardieSoffit, and more. Each product line also offers a variety of different colors and styles. The products come with a 15-year color warranty, saving plenty of painting time in the future. The James Hardie lines offer minimal-maintenance products, typically only requiring a soft wash once a year.
Despite events surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Atlanta housing market has continued to remain steady and even grow. Because of this, James Hardie is still experiencing steady business. Workers are adhering to several guidelines to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.
