International Winter Wonderland for All Ages at Centennial Olympic Park

Centennial Olympic Park hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year and a family favorite is back for the holiday season. Senior Sales Manager with the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) Authority Adeola Sokunbi and Marketing Specialist with GWCC Authority Parker Hendricks join this week’s Around Atlanta segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio to discuss the International Winter Wonderland at Centennial Olympic Park.

GWCC Authority is the fourth largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment campus in North America with over 220 acres of event space between GWCC, Centennial Olympic Park and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Centennial Olympic Park served as the central hub during the 1996 Olympics and has continued to offer attractions and activities throughout the years for the whole family.

Through January 5, 2019, Centennial Olympic Park is the centerpiece of downtown Atlanta’s holiday cheer as the GWCC Authority presents an International Winter Wonderland. Home to the Chinese Lantern Festival and the Atlanta Christkindl Market, the Park will showcase its Olympic legacy with an international holiday experience featuring live entertainment, cultural food and interactive activities.

The Chinese Lantern Festival themed ‘Into the Wild’ this year, will feature stunning, handcrafted lanterns of more than 25 various kinds of both land and sea animals, including portrayals of endangered species to spotlight the importance of animal protection. Click here to buy tickets.

Free to attend, the German Christmas Market, or Christkindl Market, will feature up to 80 Bavarian-style wood chalets surrounding the fountain of rings. In addition to holiday caroling entertainment, this event creates the authentic German holiday experience with traditional German food vendors, beverages and handcrafted products including ornaments, nutcrackers and toys. Centennial Olympic Park is located at 265 Park Avenue West NW in Atlanta.
