Last month, Wellspring Living in Duluth was granted the opportunity to have three amazing organizations come out to lend a hand in remodeling and renovating the nonprofit’s facility. HomeAid Atlanta, Atlanta Remodelers Council, and Professional Women in Building all came together to help Wellspring Living in its mission to end domestic sex trafficking.
Wellspring Living is an organization that aids the victims of domestic sex trafficking, helping them to develop the courage to move forward and the confidence to succeed. Wellspring Living is known for helping young women by providing them with therapy, 24-hour supervision and short term and long term housing. With one in four girls experiencing sexual abuse before the age of 18, Wellspring Living is doing everything it can to help young women and girls get through their tough times.
HomeAid Atlanta strives to improve the conditions of Atlanta’s temporarily homeless families and individuals by focusing on increasing capacities at local transitional housing facilities. The nonprofit provides more homeless children, women and men with the opportunity to successfully restore their lives. With Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association as a sponsor, the organization was able to bring together all of its resources and make this special Care Day a great success.
The Chairman of the Atlanta Remodelers Council spoke recently about how much the organization enjoyed helping Wellspring Living, as well as working with both HomeAid Atlanta and Professional woman in Building to make a difference in these women’s lives. The organizations helped by remodeling a bathroom and adding new flooring, a new vanity, toilet and brand-new fixtures. They also assisted with several other projects throughout the facility.
