Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis is a can’t-miss event that kicks off the season. Celebrate with nostalgic Christmas classics and stunning visuals, happening November 24 at 3 p.m. Twas the Night Before…, Cirque du Soleil’s first-ever holiday production begins the following weekend and goes through December 15. The show centers on the virtues of generosity and friendship that make the holiday season merry and bright!
Join acclaimed musician John Legend for an unforgettable night of music and storytelling on December 17 at 8 p.m. Legend will be playing holiday classics from his hit album, “A Legendary Christmas,” including “This Christmas,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Silver Bells,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)” and sharing the stories behind each song.
Back again this year, Merry Mighty Mo & More!, presented by Georgia Natural Gas, is a Fox Theatre tradition! This FREE event features the iconic Möller organ, “Mighty Mo” and a holiday sing-along performance from resident organist Ken Double. Attendees will also hear an exclusive performance from the holiday quartet band “Like the Dickens.” Photo ops with Santa and a screening of “Elf” will also take place during the event. For many Atlanta natives, Fox Theatre’s production of Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is the highlight of the holiday season! Prepare to be captivated by its cast of world-class dancers, puppets and elaborate costumes. You can score tickets to one of three shows this year, December 19 at 7 p.m. and December 20 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Looking to experience the Nutcracker like never before? MC Kurtis Blow and his team of dancers, violinist and DJ will take the stage December 26 at 7 p.m. for The Hip Hop Nutcracker. The reimagined production takes its audience through the story of the Nutcracker and celebrates the magic of the holiday season.
Other holiday events include Grammy-winner Samara Joy’s “‘A Joyful Holiday’ featuring the McLendon Family” on December 22 at 8 p.m. and the Straight No Chaser a capella show on December 27 at 8 p.m.
