Historic Roswell is always bustling with activity, and on any given day the streets of the town are filled with patrons visiting the many shops and restaurants along Canton Street. This holiday season is no different as the city has a variety of events and celebrations planned to help its residents feel the joy of the season.

First up, the Holiday Celebration on the Square will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. The celebration begins at 5 p.m. at 610 Atlanta Street as the city lights up Roswell’s historic Town Square. During the celebration, event attendees can enjoy performances by Esther Jackson, River Eves and Hillside Elementary Schools. A reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas, “sweet treats and coffee provided by Starbucks, an appearance from Santa himself, exciting giveaways and much more!

The city of Roswell also has a variety of holiday events planned at Roswell’s Southern Trilogy Homes. Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation will hold a selection of family-friendly holiday events including:

  • Twisted Tinsel Holiday Extravaganza – Taking place on Dec. 5 at all three homes, the Twisted Tinsel Holiday Extravaganza includes fun winter activities and games like candy cane limbo, ornament races, the ugliest holiday sweater contest and more.
  • Holiday Cooking Class – Scheduled for Dec. 1 at Barrington Hall, this event will teach eager chefs to prepare a “do-ahead” dinner for the busy season.
  • Christmas High Teas at Bulloch Hall – Taking place on Dec. 8, 10, 15 and 17, enjoy a two-course high tea served by ladies in period dress.
  • A Candlelight Christmas Event at Smith Plantation – Enjoy festive decorations and refreshments in this historic home. There will also be live music and a demonstration by the Roswell Garden Club Elves on how Christmas decorations are made.
  • A Christmas Carol at Bulloch Hall – Celebrate the holidays with this classic featuring Brink Miller as Scrooge. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 11-13 and 16-20.
