Staying up to date with energy code changes is a necessary but oftentimes difficult task for many home builders and remodelers. This is why the Atlanta Green Building Council is hosting an energy code expert panel on Thursday, September 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Southface Energy Institute (241 Pine Street, Atlanta 30308).
Join Chris Laumer-Giddens of LG Squared, Ryan Taylor of Ryan Taylor Architects, Rick Logan with the city of Decatur and Lande Beaton of Vis Viva Energy & Service as they discuss current, upcoming and future building and energy code requirements for the state of Georgia and the Atlanta metro area. The experts will also explain the reasons behind many energy code requirements as well as tools for implementing these designs and requirements.
Lunch will be served prior to the start of the panel, and the event will be a great forum for industry professionals to network as well as educate themselves on the latest standards.
Registration for council members is $25; the cost for non-members is $35.
The Atlanta Green Building Council is part of the Greater Atlanta HBA, and is devoted to bringing together green building, product and service professionals within the housing industry.
