The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) is pleased to introduce its 2018 Board of Directors. The HBA’s leadership embodies its purpose: to advocate for, educate and provide multiple benefits of membership through its activities and endeavors. The HBA is looking forward to a fantastic 2018 and trusts its Board of Directors to lead the organization into further progress.
The Greater Atlanta HBA’s new President is Jim Chapman of Jim Chapman Communities. In 2017, Chapman was honored with the Spike Member of the Year Award for his membership recruiting efforts. His company has also been named the Builder of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) 55+ Housing Industry Council. Additionally, he and his company have made generous donations to the HBA’s official designated charity, HomeAid Atlanta. He has been heavily involved with several of the HBA’s councils.
The 2018 Vice President of the Greater Atlanta HBA is Vince Longo of Vincent Longo Custom Homes. As an award-winning home builder and active participant in the HBA’s activities, he is a valuable addition to the Board of Directors. The HBA’s new Treasurer and Secretary is Scot Clark, Vice President of Operations and a founder of top Atlanta builder Edward Andrews Homes. Its Immediate Past President is Charlie Bostwick of Brightwater Homes. Meg Thompson with TSL Construction and a past Atlanta Professional Women In Building (PWB) Chair is this year’s Associate Vice President.
The Associates at Large are Wilson Borden of The Erosion Company and Jon Vaughan with Brand Vaughan Lumber Co. This year’s General Counsel is Frank O. Brown, Jr. with Weissman PC and the Greater Atlanta HBA’s Executive Officer is Corey Deal.
Beyond the Executive Committee, the Greater Atlanta HBA Board of Directors is supported by Builder Directors, Associate Directors, Life Directors, County Chapter Presidents, Council and Committee Chairs and Subsidiaries. The Greater Atlanta HBA is deeply thankful for each of the individuals that dedicates its time to the organization and the betterment of the home building in Atlanta.
