Tours of homes have become increasingly popular over the years. We are always curious how other people decorate or theme their spaces and these tours are the perfect way to be nosy in a socially acceptable way.

Join Atlanta residents May 21-22 from noon to 6 p.m. in Historic Grant Park’s 42nd Annual Tour of Homes. What makes this tour of homes special is the specific order in which participants view the homes. Take “A Stroll Through Time” and view stunning residences, businesses and historic sites from the oldest to the newest.

This concept tells Atlanta’s story as one of the original “streetcar suburbs” and observers are able to see the evolvement from that. Homes in Grant Park are distinctive and each is an example of Atlanta’s history. Some homes you will see will be Queen Anne Victorians, antebellum houses, post WWII ranches, bungalows, contemporary lofts and thriving businesses.

It is always interesting to see how older homes are maintain and preserved to accommodate residential changes through time. Even newer homes in the area maintain a compliance with historic standards to allow this area to remain a staple of Georgian history.

The tour benefits the Grant Park Neighborhood Association to support neighborhood projects, local schools, public safety and more. Tickets for Historic Grant Park’s 42nd Annual Tour of Homes can be purchased online. Do not miss this opportunity to take “A Stroll Through Time”.
