Glenn and Bernie Drake, brokers and owners of Drake Realty, are in studio for today’s episode of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses how Drake Realty was created, how it works today and several of its many services. The owners and brokers with Drake Realty also dive into some of their favorite programs offered by their trusted partner New American Funding on today’s All About Real Estate segment of Radio.
Drake Realty is celebrating 30 years of business this year and recently marked the occasion with a brand-new logo. Starting in a basement over three decades ago, Drake Realty has grown to accommodate over 700 agents in the current, thriving businesses it is known as today.
“Our philosophy is we are facilitating agents,” said Glenn Drake. “We are letting them do their job and whatever they need to do to be successful in real estate.”

Bank Shot, the app created by Drake Realty, enables users to complete real estate transactions via their smartphone. This development allows brokers to connect back to their agency and enter in key pieces of information about the transaction. Now, agents can deposit and send money via the mobile app whether it is earnest money, commission or security deposits.
“Bank Shot was developed because we saw a need in the marketplace within our own business,” said Bernie Drake. “When contracts became electronic, we noticed that the sense of urgency to get earnest money to us was declining, even though its in the contract that there are specific times when it needs to get to the broker and when the broker needs to deposit it.”
