Director of Sales at Eastwood Homes Joan McGinn is in the studio for today’s Around Atlanta segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Joined by co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick, the group discusses the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s (HBA) 2021 Atlanta Parade of Homes.
McGinn has been in the real estate and new home building industry for the past 20 years and is currently working with Eastwood Homes and is also a member of the Parade of Homes Committee. Starting back in 1977, Eastwood Homes is a private home building company based in the Southeast and is new to the Atlanta market. Eastwood Homes entered the Atlanta market just one year ago and has already sold out its first community and has five new communities in the works.
The Parade of Homes is the largest annual spring showcase of new homes across metro Atlanta taking place in April and May. The event features a wide variety of homes and townhomes in a diversity of styles, locations and price points and is free, self-guided and open to the public.
The 2021 Atlanta Parade of Homes takes place on the weekends of April 24-25, May 1-2 and May 8-9. The Parade will take place on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This year, homebuyers are given the chance to take free, self-guided tours of over 50 homes scattered throughout metro Atlanta. This hassle-free event requires no registration and allows attendees to come and go as they please, visiting as many homes as they would like.
The Atlanta Parade of Homes utilizes a scattered-site layout for this year’s events. The Parade has a variety of different builders participating, all throughout the metro Atlanta area. From townhomes and single-family homes to active adult communities and lavish estate homes, there is a wide selection of home types and prices to view. No matter where you live in Atlanta, you’ll be able to find a parade community close to your area.
“It’s a great opportunity for consumers looking to buy a new construction home, or if you’re just interested in checking out the latest design trends and seeing what our wonderful decorators have done to some of our model homes,” said McGinn. “It’s just a great opportunity to be able to see in person the things you might’ve been ogling online and dreaming about.”

Additionally, you can download the ATLHomesParade App, available in the App Store or Google Play Store. There are so many different homes and places to visit during the parade. To help make the best use of your time, download the app before the parade start date and start mapping out those routes!
