At IBS 2011? Don’t forget to check out Green Builder Media’s VISION House which is on display through Jan. 15. The 2,400 square-foot home, located in the historic neighborhood of College Park in Orlando was built with sustainable materials and has been designed to respect the charming architecture of the traditional neighborhood in which it is housed.
With a strong focus on energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environment quality, efficient systems and disaster resistance, the home also incorporates education and training for building professionals and consumers about green building products and techniques, as well as broader aspects of sustainable living.
Mohawk Industries, one of the world’s largest floor-covering manufacturers and distributors who was selected for the third consecutive year to display product such as its Mohawk Dal-Tile and reclaimed hardwood floors in the VISION House, is honored to be part of this special project once again.
“This is a home that is very economical and livable and our product fits exceptionally well with the overall theme of the home which presents realistic, cost-effective and sustainable new housing for American families,” said Seth Arnold, director of market strategy and research for Mohawk Industries.
