Improving communities with foreclosures in GeorgiaDuring this holiday season of giving back and paying it forward, GaHomeForeclosures looks back at the good we have done all year by bringing Georgia foreclosed homes from risk to opportunity for homebuyers. By developing distressed real estate, we have helped to offer homebuyers amazing deals they otherwise couldn’t enjoy and provided community investments to improve Georgia.

In addition to helping homebuyers, we are offering aid to communities with projects like the hotel renovation we recently completed in Oakwood, Ga – an over $1.1 million investment to recover a hotel which had fallen into foreclosure. The hotel is now a Best Western, which has improved Oakwood’s desirability and provided new jobs.

We are also helping local communities and governments recover by paying off past due fees and taxes left in the wake of the financial crisis, and we are now managing nearly 60 residential communities that failed developers left behind.

In addition, we are working hard to improve the job market in Georgia in the critically short areas of construction and real estate. We have awarded hundreds of construction contracts valued at more than $23 million and created approximately 5,000 jobs across the state. On the agent side, our sales of previously-distressed properties have provided more than $100 million dollars in sales and paid out more than an estimated $5 million in commissions.
