Wednesday night, January 13th, was the 2010 Installation and Awards reception for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. This event brings together some of Atlanta’s most prominent professionals in the home building industry as the 2010 Board of Directors are named and officially instated into their positions. However, in addition to the installation of the 2010 Board of Directors, certain individuals are honored with prestigious awards like the HBA’s Presidential Award and the HomeAid Atlanta awards (builder supporter, trade partner and volunteer). And we are pleased to announce that at the 2010 Awards reception, Dina Gundersen was honored as HomeAid Atlanta’s Volunteer of the Year.

Dina is the Director of Marketing for Monte Hewett Homes and also the Owner of Creative Thunder Design. She worked closely with HomeAid Atlanta throughout 2009 designing e-newsletters, postcards and other collateral to help increase awareness for the organization and their events. Her time, devotion and generosity to the non-profit organization is inspiring, and she absolutely deserves the award for Volunteer of the Year. Congratulations Dina!

Anyone attending the International Builders Show next week should keep their eyes peeled for Dina. She’ll be one of the speakers in the “Sell to Women Through the Social Media Grapevine” seminar on Tuesday, January 19th at 1:30 p.m. Make plans to attend this exceptional seminar not only to learn about marketing to women but also to meet the HomeAid Atlanta Volunteer of the Year.

HomeAid Atlanta is the non-profit organization of the Atlanta HBA. HomeAid Atlanta’s mission is to build and maintain dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives. This is accomplished through the donation of construction services and materials from members of the homebuilding industry. HomeAid Atlanta partners with existing homeless service providers and expands their capacity to serve the homeless by building a new transitional housing facility or renovating an existing facility.
