Desing2Sell Powers Ferry

Desing2Sell Powers FerryWhen the team at Design2Sell is called to a project; they do more than just deliver. They take in every detail of the home and analyze important aspects such as the colors on the walls, the lighting that best suits the room, and what accessories should be added. As experts in the design world, they first envision the lifestyle of the potential buyer and determine the right mix of strategic inventory placement to create a vision, without distracting from the beautiful architectural features of the home.

One staging project where the Design2Sell team truly captured the desired lifestyle of its potential buyers is located at 4891 Powers Ferry Road. This stunning 9,800-square-foot, six-bedroom and eight-bath home was built by ETB Homes and is just .7 miles from Chastain Park. This immaculate home has all the desirable features a homeowner could want – a heated Pebbletec pool and spa, four-car garage, three finished levels, dual covered outdoor living spaces with fireplaces, and an incredible backyard sitting on over one acre, just to name a few!

Decorating a blank slate can feel intimidating. In order to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed, the Design2Sell team breaks down each aspect of decorating so that they can track the progress and keep a décor plan on schedule and budget. For this project, they first began by gathering inspiration from the architecture.

“In this home, we incorporated furnishings that complemented the metal railings and light fixtures found inside and outside of the home, as well as the beautiful warm wood elements,” stated Barbara Heil-Sonneck, President of Design2Sell.

Design2Sell living area

For this project, the Design2Sell team identified that the homeowner would likely be looking for a home that exudes comfortable luxury. The main living area features plenty of seating gathered in front of the fireplace, creating conversation while taking advantage of the gorgeous outdoor views. Two built-ins are capped by unique art and sculptures, mimicking the way a homeowner can show off their one-of-a-kind pieces or special collections. Nearby, the beautiful white kitchen offers plenty of cooking and prep space, as well as the option for eating on-the-go at the island bar.

The large dining room features an oversized, extendable table that is perfect for everything from weeknight family meals to large dinner parties, and its wood construction echoes the wood accents found throughout the home and exudes the casualness of a farmhouse table, while the ornate legs provide additional style. The chairs are roomy with a comfortable cloth material while the head chairs are made of soft, buttery leather. One of the main focal points of the room is a large mirror positioned diagonal from the table. This mirror not only adds elegance and character to the room, but it also reflects light from the decorative candelabra chandelier.

A home office provides private space and the flexibility for the homeowners to work from home when necessary, or daily. A formal sitting room was designed with comfort and casual conversation in mind, but the space could also be adjusted to be a second home office if both homeowners desire their own space. Another room designed for the homeowners, the master suite, features a large bed with plush linens and an oversized rug that warms the cool wood floors. A sitting area provides a relaxing environment while dark furniture, a standing mirror and bench dress up the space. The “less is more” approach was used in this room, creating a restful and uncluttered space.
