Denim Marketing Celebrates Six OBIE Award Wins

Denim Marketing is proud to share its six award wins from the 40th Annual OBIE Awards Gala. The agency was honored with four Gold and two Silver OBIE accolades on its work on a variety of marketing, public relations and social media campaigns. Along with winning Best Associate Marketing Campaign, the agency also won awards for work done on behalf of several of its Atlanta-area industry clients.

Presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) and the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), the OBIE Awards recognize outstanding achievements within Atlanta’s new home construction industry and serve as a premier award for home builders, as well as industry associates. Named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given, the OBIE Awards have grown over the last 40 years to include over 100 homebuilding, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.

Sweeping the social media award categories, Denim Marketing received Gold OBIEs for Best Associate Social Media Campaign, Best Builder Social Media Application and Best Associate Social Media Application. Silver OBIE wins include Best Builder Social Media Campaign and Best Community Service Project.

Best Social Media Campaign – Associate: #ThisIsPowderSprings

Created for the City of Powder Springs, the #ThisIsPowderSprings social media campaign was designed to continue the momentum from the city’s previous ‘P.S. Did you know?’ campaign. Through the new promotion, Denim Marketing worked alongside the City to urge the use the hashtag, #ThisIsPowderSprings to create a sense of awareness for all the things that make Powder Springs so great. Over the course of the six-month social media campaign, the City of Powder Springs social media platforms grew significantly in terms of followers, reach and interaction.

Best Social Media Application – Builder: SR Homes Instagram

Working with SR Homes, Denim Marketing helped the Atlanta home builder find Instagram success by focusing on the photo grid, happy homeowner stories and a #TogetherAtHome series in response to the coronavirus pandemic. From June 15, 2019 to June 15, 2020, the SR Homes Instagram page had a 57.12% increase in followers and an average Reach of 241,217 with 143,223 Impressions and 2,464 Profile Views.

Best Social Media Application – Associate: NterNow Facebook

Beginning in March 2020, Denim Marketing took over daily social media management for NterNow to connect with the company’s target market more consistently and efficiently. During the coronavirus pandemic, it became clear NterNow had a unique solution to selling homes while social distancing and this concept was focused heavily on social media. Between the months of March and June, the NterNow Facebook page increased by 275% fans, post reach increased by 1,757% and engagement increased by 787%.

Best Marketing Campaign Promotion – Associate budget under $10K: COVID Webinars

The free webinar series “Sales & Marketing in a Time of Uncertainty,” was created and presented by Denim Marketing Founder and President Carol Morgan, along with other homebuilding industry professionals. The goal of the webinars was to give back to the homebuilding industry by providing solutions to how to work through the coronavirus pandemic. Throughout its eight episodes, more than 2,000 individuals registered for the webinar series with an average of 260 people per webinar, and over 1,125 attended the webinars for an average of 141 people per individual webinar.

Best Community Service Project: McKinley Homes

Early in the coronavirus pandemic, Denim Marketing had the exciting opportunity to help client McKinley Homes give back to the community and promote corporate social responsibility. McKinley Homes donated 10,500 medical masks to two Atlanta Hospitals in need of protective face coverings for frontline workers. Northside Hospital Gwinnett received 5,000 surgical masks and Emory University Hospital received 5,000 surgical and 500 N95 masks. The service project story received coverage from industry-related and local media and was even featured on several TV news stations.

Best Social Media Campaign – Builder/Developer: The Providence Group Vlog

The coronavirus pandemic has made the need for video content even more apparent than ever before. The Providence Group recognized this demand for video long before the pandemic and offered such content through its video blog (vlog) series along with segments on Atlanta’s Best New Homes Show. To keep the video traffic going, Denim Marketing stepped in to implement a variety of tactics and strategies across the home builder’s social media, blog and Facebook ads. Through these methods, The Providence Group was able to increase total video views and followers on its YouTube channel.
