Builder of the Year – David Weekly Homes
A previous winner of National Builder of the Year and America’s Best Builder, David Weekley Homes was recently announced as the 2021 Builder of the Year! Presented each year to a builder member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA), the award showcases a commitment to professional excellence by a member who makes significant contributions to furthering the goals and mission of the association. The builder was recognized at the GAHBA Annual Installation and Awards Program. Lesa Ness, Adam Cornett and Josh Hilscher accepted the award on behalf of the Atlanta Division.
GAHBA Meetings and Events Director, Emily Raymond said, “We were particularly happy to recognize David Weekley Homes as our 2021 Builder of the Year because of what they meant to the association as a whole last year.”
With a focus beyond building homes, the company places great importance on creating a shelter and strong relationship with all its homebuyers. In 2021, the builder earned seven Silver and four Gold awards at the 41st Annual OBIE Awards Gala and was pivotal in the execution of the inaugural Backyard Builder Bash, held at its very own Glenhaven at Ridgewalk community in Woodstock.
“The homebuilding industry in Atlanta is a true community, and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association does a stellar job of bringing that community together to further our trade,” shared Atlanta Division President Adam Cornett. “We are incredibly humbled and honored to have been celebrated by a room full of our peers as the 2021 Builder of the Year. What a wonderful way to kick off 2022!”
Cornett also shared events such as the OBIE Awards, Parade of Homes and the Installation and Awards Program present opportunities to celebrate and inspire the Atlanta homebuilding community.
