Alliance Engineering + Planning, LLC, a civil engineering, land planning, land surveying, landscape architecture and government relations firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia, is pleased to announce David Anderson as President. In this capacity, Anderson oversees business operations, client development, staff development and systems reviews.
Anderson is known as one of the best and brightest young talents in the surveying profession today. He is the recent past president of the National Young Surveyors Network and currently serves as the Delegate to the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
“I am excited to take on this new role with Alliance Engineering + Planning and help grow the company,” Anderson said. “I am dedicated to providing exceptional service for clients in the transportation, industrial, commercial and residential markets.”
Anderson brings 15 years of diverse experience to Alliance within both the public and private sectors. This includes all phases of municipal, industrial, commercial and private developments to the position, including major roadway and utility projects for local and regional municipalities.
Prior to joining the Alliance staff in December 2019, Anderson worked at Atwell, LLC as a team leader and project manager.
Fueled by the hot residential development market, Alliance has experienced rapid growth over the past few years. The firm added a new office in Huntsville, Alabama in early 2021 to better serve the builders and developers in that region.
Alliance also launched a drone division in the metro Atlanta market in fall 2021 to provide a quality product in a faster time frame. Using drone technology, Alliance can conduct aerial mapping, topographical surveys, aerial videography, photogrammetry, aerial photos and much more.
Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics and Land Surveying Sciences from Troy University and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He also holds a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Anderson is a licensed surveyor 16 states spanning the Southeast United States, as well as a licensed sUAS pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Anderson and his wife Elizabeth reside in Buford, Georgia with their two children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and racing.
