Kolter Homes – a leader in developing next-generation, highly-amenitized, master-planned active adult communities in the Southeastern U.S. – is thrilled residents at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes are already enjoying the initial elements of the robust lifestyle program being planned for the community. Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes will be home to the largest private pickleball complex in the state, and since the first 21 courts opened last fall, residents have been enjoying the facility along with a variety of clubs and other activities.
“It’s so special to see the sense of community already present at Cresswind Georgia as new residents dive right in, even ahead of their move-in dates,” Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes Lifestyle Director Nicole Jurovics said. “They’re having a great time and staying very busy.”
The Pickleball Club, one of the most active groups, is holding tournaments roughly every other month. Serving as the community’s signature, the Cresswind Georgia Pickleball Center will feature more than 40 pickleball courts upon completion, estimated to be the largest private pickleball complex in Georgia and one of the largest in the Southeast with 21 courts and “Eagle’s Nest” spectators pavilion currently in use.
Another active community group, the Men’s Club, offers 24/7 assistance with everything from moving furniture, flipping a mattress or changing an air filter for Cresswind Georgia neighbors to helping Jurovics with community events including assembling the community’s modular stage and helping set-up and tear down for outdoor events. According to Jurovics, the Men’s Club also plans to make themselves available to the greater Hoschton and Braselton areas in times of need or for volunteer opportunities.
“The Welcome Committee is going strong as well,” Jurovics said. “A new group of residents acts as the welcome wagon with each new phase of homes, so we’re currently on our second phase of homeowners and will start to welcome Phase III before we know it!”
Set across several hundred acres of preserved nature and walking trails, once complete, Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes will feature resort-style amenities including Club Cresswind, a resident-only community clubhouse with a lounge area, lakeside views, event spaces, a state-of-the-art Cresswind SmartFIT Training Center powered by EGYM, cardio studio, arts and crafts room and indoor pool with lap lanes. Construction on Club Cresswind is underway with vertical work currently the focus. Outside, residents will enjoy walking trails, a resort-inspired pool, tennis courts, event lawn and bandshell. Cresswind Georgia also features two community lakes for fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
While construction continues at Club Cresswind, the finished daylight basement of the Poplar model home recently opened to residents as a community gathering space to play host to a variety of activities, such as a monthly Bunco game, a beginner’s knitting class and a Mud Mask workshop with Green Girl Basics. The community dog park, community garden and first section of walking trails are slated for spring 2022 completion.
Located in Hoschton, Twin Lakes is estimated to be the largest new residential master-planned developments to be opened in the greater Atlanta area in more than a decade. As the newest active adult community in Georgia by Kolter Homes, Cresswind Georgia is the active adult component of Twin Lakes, featuring 1,300 of the 2,600 total new homes at the neighborhood.
