As part of the organization’s regular chapter meeting, junior and senior design students from local colleges and universities will be able to attend to learn more about the industry. Students and members will be able to enjoy a presentation from guest speaker Richard T. Anuszkiewicz called “Fashion Forward!”
The Director of the Kitchen and Bath Division for Alt Breeding Schwarz Architects in Annapolis, MD, Richard is originally from Pittsburgh and has a passion for design and an appreciation for style. He has been highlighted in many publications including HGTV’s Designer of the Week and The Washington Post’s Home Front. He finds joy in cultivating the next generation of industry professionals as the Architecture and Interior Design Adjunct Professor at AACC and curating Richard Living, a lifestyle design blog based on the fundamentals of holistic inspiration. Richard was an inaugural NKBA 30 under 30 in 2013, and he has launched the renowned #FASHIONFORWARD Tour.
As part of his presentation, he will highlight how the kitchen and bath business is now a fashion industry. Therefore, it’s important for designers to pull inspiration from all aspects of life and approach each project with a holistic method of thinking and eliminate the cliche, everyday choices while attaining the “wow” factor.
After the session, participants will be able to effectively communicate how to enhance their client’s lifestyle, achieving the best of both worlds: creative design elements that improve the overall visual and purpose of their space.
The Industry Tabletop Expo will follow, bringing kitchen and bath industry suppliers to showcase their newest products, trends and technology.
