Just because fall is blowing into your South Fulton new homes, it doesn’t mean outdoor fun is over! There are plenty of cool outdoor activities near Azalea’s Waterford Commons that may end up warming your heart.
Grab a friend, and reserve a free tour of the Atlanta Beltline Project. Never heard of the Atlanta Beltline? That’s even more of a reason to take this great city tour! The Atlanta Beltline Project is a huge revitalization project that will eventually connect 22 miles of pedestrian friendly rail transit circling Atlanta to 45 downtown neighborhoods. The weekly tour covers many of the project highlights, including a sneak peek at Bellwood Quarry, the future site of the large Westside Reservoir and Park. Public art is displayed along the 33 miles of multi-use trails, making this tour truly delightful. Reserve your spot today for the upcoming tour on Friday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m. Donations to the project are not required but are appreciated.
Hands on Gardening, a local class at Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center, is a great way to get your hands dirty and have a little fun too. Taught by Lyn and Bob Bernstein, this gardening class gives wanna-be gardeners a great hands-on way to learn how to garden vegetables and other plants. The next class is scheduled for Saturday, September 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To register, call 404-371-1920.
These are just a couple of great community activities South Fulton has to offer. Think of how nice it would be to call this area your home! After these events, take time to tour Waterford Commons’ single-family homes. Priced in the high $160,000s with spacious bedrooms, beautiful features and amazing community amenities, the community is perfect for any family!
