Derek Dean, vice president of sales with CMD, joins hosts Todd Schnick and Bryan Nonni on today’s All About Real Estate edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show.
Derek Dean has an extensive background in sales and business development. Derek has spent the last 14 years with CMD starting in sales, strategy and then business development, which led him to his current position as Vice President of Sales. In this position, he is responsible for major market sales throughout America and Canada.
CMD measures and tracks commercial construction activity across North America by following construction projects from early design all the way through bidding and beginning the project. They use that information to create analytics and forecast data that will give its customers an insight into what all is happening in the commercial construction industry.
When taking a look into 2016, Derek says people should be paying attention to multifamily mixed-use. The population is aging, and buyers both young and old like places that offer walkability and convenience for everyone. In Atlanta, we are seeing a lot more of these mixed-use facilities becoming more and more popular. “People want the whole live, work, play environment,” says Derek.
CMD definitely has its eye on these types of projects in the upcoming year due to the high demand from consumers and the money that goes into them from all sides of the project.
