The 8th Annual NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes is taking place this Saturday, September 16 and is a great way to find the best remodeler for your home and benefit Habitat for Humanity. On today’s All About Real Estate segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick are joined by Jesse Morado, executive director of the NARI (National Association for the Remodeling Industry) Atlanta chapter and Kyle Fraim, procurement specialist and donation manager for Suburban Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Restore.
This year, the NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes is partnering with Suburban Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ReStore. In addition to ticket sales benefitting Habitat for Humanity, local remodelers send their donations of used light fixtures, cabinets and more. As the Atlanta housing market matures, says Schnick, more and more homes are being remodeled. Instead of those gently-used pieces in homes ending up in landfills, Habitat for Humanity ReStore’s five Atlanta-area thrift stores offer free pickup services when the items are removed for remodeling. Fraim says those items are then resold at local Habitat for Humanity thrift stores and the income benefits Habitat for Humanity directly.
Attendees can tour homes that have been completely remodeled, had the kitchens remodeled or had the basement remodeled. The tour’s participating remodelers include Distinctive Remodeling Solutions, Harbour Towne Construction, Master Home Remodelers and Oneida Builders. Guests can visit four stunningly remodeled homes and a showroom with cooking demonstrations. Two homes are located in Dunwoody, one is in Roswell and one is located in Northwest Atlanta inside the perimeter. Remodeling staff, vendors and suppliers will be on-site at each home to answer questions and discuss inspiration with guests. As a bonus, guests can head to Dove Studio Kitchen & Bath in Roswell for indoor and outdoor cooking demonstrations taking place on the half-hour the whole day of the tour.
