The Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council congratulates Chappell Construction Group for winning a Gold OBIE in the Residential Remodeling category for Whole-House Renovation over $500,000 for River Trace in Roswell. The OBIE awards are the highest honor given to Atlanta real estate.
This incredible renovation spanned over 7,000 square feet and combined new and old to create a gorgeous residence that any home owner would love. Comprised of a combination of river reclaimed ‘pecky’ cypress, heart of pine, popular, wormy chestnut, knotty alder, hand-hewn oak beams, cedar, plaster, natural stone, and reclaimed brick, this amazing home only has drywall present in secondary bedrooms and in the upstairs hallway. Interior stone and brick archways separate vast rooms with ceilings reaching as high as 13 feet. The Furnishings, fixtures, cabinetry and even lighting in many cases were also created from reclaimed materials; the corner sink in one powder room was made from a salvaged water trough from a 19th century stable. The light fixture in the media room was built using antique tobacco sticks. The kitchen island and media room vanities were constructed from “robin’s egg” heart pine-wood reclaimed from a 19th century schoolhouse. This home is certainly one of the most unique projects Chappell Construction has undertaken.
