Movie fans will not want to miss the 2017 Atlanta Film Festival, running from March 24 through April 2. One of the longest-running film festivals in the United States, the festival attracts audiences of over 25,000 and features over 150 films over seven days. The festival will be held at six different venues: Plaza Theatre, 7 Stages Theatre, Dad’s Garage Theatre, Rialto Center for the Arts, Ponce City Market and Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. - Atlanta Dogwood Festival
To celebrate the blooming of Atlanta’s native dogwood trees, the 81st Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival offers three days of music, art, fun festivities and more. The 2017 festival will take place from April 7 to April 9 at Piedmont Park. Guests will get to experience a diverse juried art competition, visit food booths, browse through the massive art market, make arts and crafts, hear live music and let kids play on rock walls and fun inflatables. - Georgia Renaissance Festival
History lovers will find themselves whisked away through time and transported into 16th Century England at the Georgia Renaissance Festival. Running on Saturdays and Sundays from April 15 to June 4, the Georgia Renaissance Festival provides its guests with a unique and authentic experience that includes jousting shows, acrobatics, comedy, magicians, music, characters, delicious food and more. - Shaky Knees Music Festival
Music enthusiasts will have a blast at the Fifth Annual Shaky Knees Music Festival. The festival takes place from May 12 to May 14 at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, and features more than 60 performers and music groups, including up-and-coming artists. In addition to constant performances, Shaky Knees will feature food trucks and booths from regional and local restaurants that suit a variety of dietary lifestyles. There will also be band and festival merchandise, bars and concessions, cell phone charging stations, sponsor giveaways, water stations with free refills and more.
