Here’s a roundup of Dr. Seuss’ birthday events at local libraries:

• HONK! Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss! will be an event with rhymes, stories and crafts at the Mountain View Regional Library in Marietta on Saturday, March 2 from 3 to 4 p.m.
• If you’re in West Cobb, join in the fun with books, a short movie and crafts on Friday, March 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. at West Cobb Regional Library.
• Preschoolers can enjoy a special Seussical birthday celebration at the Adamsville-Collier Heights Branch Library on Saturday, March 2 from 2 to 3 p.m.
• Make your own Cat in the Hat, check our Seuss’ books and DVDs and more at the Mechanicsville Branch Library on Saturday, March 2.
• Take and go crafts based on the stories of Seuss will be available from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Perry Homes Branch Library on Saturday, March 2.

Of course, our homes are also a great place to celebrate these whimsical stories. Decorate your family or media room to match your child’s favorite Seuss story, serve up green eggs and ham in one of our gourmet kitchens and then at the end of the day, curl up in your child’s bedroom for a fanciful bedtime story.
