I’ve got an important update regarding contractor licensing. If you don’t already know, as of July 1, 2008 all contractors will be required to have a license to do business in Georgia. For those that have not yet applied for your license, consider attending one of the HBA application blitzes to help you accurately complete the application. The HBA is hosting two different sessions at the Housing Center: one on April 11 from 11 a.m. to noon, and the other on May 9 from 11 a.m. to noon. This is a free seminar for Greater Atlanta HBA members and $25 for non-members. These blitzes will be extremely beneficial as they will discuss the new builder licensing application process, and have a photographer on site to take photos and also have a notary on site. This is an opportunity to have all questions answered and get everything needed for the new application completed at one place. Even if all you have to do is amend your license, this workshop will help you with applying for those changes. So, go ahead and register for the course at the GAHBA website.
