Rebecca Chase Williams, founder and chair of the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, joins our host Todd Schnick and co-host Carol Morgan for the Around Atlanta edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio.
Williams was on the founding council of the city of Brookhaven and actually served as mayor this past year. While founding the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival this has been her favorite event and her “baby.” “This makes Brookhaven a better place to buy homes in, invest in and to live in” says Williams on the wonderful development and expansion of Brookhaven.
Guests can expect this to be a fun two-day family-filled event from April 2-3 from 10-7 p.m. Located at Blackburn park in Brookhaven, this event will be filled with musical guests, arts and crafts market, gourmet food, children’s village, 5K Run-Walk, 1K walk, pet parade and more.
Blackburn Park is one of the beautiful parks in Brookhaven located directly on Ashford Dunwoody Rd. the park includes 50 acres of beautiful walking and nature experiences.
Saturday will start off with the 5K run-walk and 1K walk sponsored by Infinity, and that will take you through the beautiful park and cherry trees. The children’s village is a great addition to the Cherry Blossom Festival; it will have plenty of interactive and fun activities for children of all ages. Throughout both days there will be amazing musical acts as well as activities for the whole family to enjoy. On Sunday, there will be a pet parade at 2:00 where you can dress up with your pet and have a “doggone” good time.
